My name in Alex Polimeni, and I am a spaceflight photographer for Spaceflight Now. This is my personal portfolio website, and I have many of my favorite photographs on this webpage. Currently, I am a junior at the Florida Institute of Technology, studying for Bachelors of Aerospace Engineering, alongside a minor in Communications. I strive to contribute to assured space launch for our nation. Over my photographic career with Spaceflight Now, I have entered and photographed cleanrooms with multimillion dollar spacecraft being prepped for flight, and have photographed almost all of America's active launch complexes with launch preparations underway. Many of my images come directly from inside the launch complex while the vehicle's engines are igniting; most are triggered by specialized sound triggers, and create spectacular results.
